Florida Trip - Christmas holidays

21 Dec 2007: Started from Atlanta at 2Pm towards Orlando, FL. Its about 500 miles drive. Armed with the GPS Navigation system set out confidently. Was told there is going to be huge traffic for Christmas so was expecting the drive to last atleast 8 to 10 hours.
Made it to Orlando by 9.30 PM luckily there wasn't much traffic. Checked into Quality Inn right at the center of Disneyland and Universal studio area.



22 Dec 2007: Went to NASA - Kennedy Space center at Cape Canaveral. This is the closest I can get to space crafts and rocket science. I did enjoy it thoroughly. Its a must see for kids as it instills a lot of motivation in them. It did a lot of good to me too :)
Evening around 5.30 Pm started towards Miami a 200 Mile Drive. Reached there by 10.30PM, checked into Days Inn.



23 Dec 2007: Hit Florida Keys. Drove up to Key West the southern most tip of US. So with this I have touched the East most tip at Cape Cod and Southern most with Key West.
This place is a proper tourist spot, very nice downtown, found it very similar to Hyannis, Main Street :)
Did some shopping there picked up colorful Florida shirt.
Drive to Key west from Miami is slow and horribly boring because of the single lane and low speed limit.



24 Dec 2007: Drove to South Miami Beach, one beautiful beach. It sure was good. Spent the entire day playing in surf and sand. Did some high speed wave running on the Waverunner, it was one heck of an experience. The pleasure of going airborne while hitting the waves is too good.
Around 5Pm started driving towards Tampa. Reached Tampa at 11Pm. Checked into another Quality Inn, this time the room was real bad.



25 Dec 2007: Had breakfast at the hotel and drove to ClearWater Beach at Tampa. It was cloudy and dull day. Beach was not crowded may be because it was Christmas. Walked along the beach looking the clear water.
Left the place at 2.30 towards Atlanta, reached Atlanta at 11Pm.
